The purpose of the Center for Lay Ministries is to provide services to vulnerable populations in the local community with compassion, dignity and respect. The CLM Food Pantry is open six days a week to meet the needs of Clark County residents who struggle with food insecurity. We provide food to 800 clients and their families each month.
Hunger to Hope Gala - a Luau
The Gala was held August 22 at the The Refinery South, and a good time was had by all. Bonnie Ryan was honored at the Volunteer of the Year, while Melissa Wolf was the Bliss House Alumni Speaker. Entertainment was by Jeremy Sharfe, who we sincerely appreciate. He not only was our DJ, he was also the Master of Ceremony and then entertained playing the guitar and singing. Thank you to our primary sponsor, Clark Memorial Health, and to our table sponsors: Park Memorial Church, First Savings Bank, Lee and Linda Overpeck, The New Washington State Bank, The Louisville Bats, and the American Commercial Barge Line, Rev. Jim Moon, Jeremy Sharfe, to all who worked hard planning the Gala...and to everyone who attended this event.
Enjoy a few pictures of the Gala:
